CI Bilingual School was founded on June 6, 1994, as Colegio Bilingüe Carrusel Infantil by its owner, Isabel Domenech de Alvarez and its academic directors, Lic. María Isabel Alvarez and Lic. María del Pilar Alvarez, who contributed the idea of transforming the school into a bilingual school to teach students in both spanish and english.

The School was initially created to provide pre-school education (from 3 to 5 years), but in September of 1998, at the request of parents and due to increasing enrollment, the school decided to open First grade. Since the year 2000, the School has experienced consistent growth, introducing Sixth Grade in 2014, and Secondary level in 2015.

Being conscious and consequent with the changes in the present society and the globalization of the world, we responded to these new educational demands, and in 2011 the school changed its institutional name to CI Bilingual School. Generating a new educational scenery, Ms. Maria Isabel Álvarez, accompanied by an interdisciplinary team of professionals in Psychology and International Education, aimed to promote a different and non-traditional teaching oriented towards the development of thinking with modernized pedagogical approaches.

Currently, CIBS offers its services at all levels: Preschool, Elementary and Secondary.
