Preschool

The CI Bilingual School Preschool program is designed to meet the emergent needs of young children. Its diverse multicultural curriculum provides experiences that enrich each child’s cognitive, language, social, physical, and creative development in an atmosphere where respect, good manners, and healthy habits are encouraged and taught

Our preschool provides a wide range of hands-on and creative activities that enhance coordination, sensory stimulation, physical development and group play, through individual effort and teamwork. These activities are presented with a thematic unity approach and classrooms provide learning corners to allow children to explore, experiment, discover, create, and question, while motivating them to prevail in mathematics, language, reading, science, music, and art. Play is an integral part of the program and through it, the capacity of solving problems is developed in the young ones. By playing, preschoolers are infused values and they are led to discover concepts that enhance the process of thinking.

The program offers an innovative curriculum with resources, teaching methods and strategies based on the International Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

It offers the development of the child in five domains (or essential elements) that are strengthened through experiences according to age:

Social

work with others and participate in activities.

Physical

participate in fine and gross motor skills activities.

Cognitive

count, name and think conceptually

Emotional

express your feelings and demonstrate knowledge of other feelings.

Language

express themselves through oral and written language.
